August 2017 Loft Bathroom

The loft bathroom tiles are also installed. As noted in the previous post, it has not been grouted yet.

I did a different border in the loft bathroom from what I did in the master bathroom.

I lowered the ceiling at the rear of the loft bathroom so moist air escapes towards the exhaust fan easier. These ceiling boards were coated on all sides with clear coat. I also coated the logs in the ceiling with an oil based clear coat to protect from moisture.

This is the last post for 2017.

August 2017 Master Bathroom Tile

I tiled the floor and the walls in the Master Bathroom. I did not grout the tile because my well pump failed. Grouting the tile in the Master Bathroom and the Loft Bathroom will be one of my first two projects in 2018, once I've installed my new well pump.

I placed the water valve for the tub on the side for easy access for anyone in the tub.

August 2017 Master Bathroom Ceiling and Lights

I installed a tongue and groove pine ceiling in the master bathroom. These boards are clear coated on all sides to prevent any moisture damage. I also installed all the lights in the bathroom.

August 2017 Back Hall and Laundry Area

This is the back hall, opposite the laundry area. The plan is to place a coat rack on the left side and a bench seat on the right.

This is the laundry area. I installed an electric outlet for the dryer, and water outlet and drain for the clothes washer. We will eventually install cabinets over this area for storage. I installed power above the clothes washer area so I can install under cabinet lights in the future.

August 2017 Main Floor Walls

All of the walls on the main floor are now taped and painted. I also installed all outlets, lights, light switches and smoke detectors.
